The Farmers & Artisans Market at Camana Bay is set to make its highly anticipated return this fall, kicking off on Wednesday, 13 Nov., and running weekly until the end of May 2025.

“The Farmers & Artisans Market has been a cherished part of our Town Centre for over 15 years. The market plays an important role in nurturing the community and gives local farmers and artisans the opportunity to personally engage with customers while showcasing Cayman’s heritage and culture,” said Alexandria Whittaker, events manager at Camana Bay. “Our weekly market provides a special place for visitors and residents to experience the ‘Caymankind’ connection for which our islands are celebrated.”

Among the returning artisans is Cayman Scents Ltd.'s Angela Wood, a familiar face at the market over the past 13 years. After a well-deserved summer break, Wood is eager to rejoin the market scene with her 25 years of experience crafting bath and body products on the island. Angela’s product range is a testament to her dedication to natural, handcrafted goods, offering a selection of natural soaps, candles, lotions, sugar body scrubs, bath bombs and room diffusers.

"The market has a really nice variety of artists selling their goods, so you are sure to find something you will love," Wood said.

Launa's Caymanite Jewelry owner Launa Green has been participating since the market's early days, offering her striking creations made from Caymanite, conch shell and whelk shell. With new designs and special novelty items for any occasion, Green looks forward to reconnecting with existing customers and forging new relationships at the market.

"Caymanite is a labour of love for me, and I can't wait to share that with market attendees," she said.

As the Farmers & Artisans Market at Camana Bay resumes, it once again serves as a vibrant hub for the community. From handcrafted jewellery to artisanal soaps and locally grown fruits and vegetables, the market offers a unique shopping experience while fostering local pride.

"I would like to say a big thank you to Camana Bay and their staff for the continued support of the local artists and farmers after all of these years, and I look forward to seeing you on Market Street every Wednesday," Wood said.

A staple of the local community, the market will not operate on Christmas Day, New Year's Day or Ash Wednesday.
