Camana Bay's Co-Ed 3v3 Basketball League is dribbling back into action this February. Organised by Camana Bay’s Sports Complex team, the league will run from 4 Feb. to 11 March, with games scheduled Tuesday evenings.
"This league is designed to encourage inclusivity and fun and welcomes players of all skill levels," Dart Senior Property Manager Jeff Wight said.
Participants must be at least 18 years old, and teams can consist of players from companies or groups of friends.
The co-ed format offers a unique twist: While teams may include any mix of genders, points scored by female players are worth more — two points for shots inside the arc and three for those outside it, compared to one and two points, respectively, for male players.
Each team can roster up to four players, with three required to start a game and one substitute allowed. Matches will last 10 minutes or conclude when a team scores 21 points, with a two-point margin required to win. Games will be held at Camana Bay’s outdoor basketball courts.
Entry costs CI$180 per team.
“This league is about bringing our community together through friendly competition and physical activity," Wight said.
